Key areas of development (description of how your work
  and ideas are to be developed from the modules in Level 5)
-
  I am going to refine my painting and mix media techniques I developed during
  level 5 to create combinations of materials – focusing on abstract techniques
  combining fragments of words/imagery/photography.
-
  I will continue the concepts I had previously found most effective in
  portraying my artistic interests but also combined with new theology. Throughout
  Level 5, I focused on two main themes reflecting organic concepts and
  psychology and I wish to further these themes through my third year. The
  theme I am going to convey is the concept of an inner world, the unconscious
  and elements of the human condition. But also refine the theme of organic
  aesthetics in my pieces through my painting methods. This theme overall
  reflects my interests as an artist and portrays themes that relate to my
  dissertation.  | ||||
|
Processes / Materials / Workshops (outline appropriate practical
  and technical skills to be developed  in relation to the above)
- I will further my exploration
  of painting by using a range of techniques I have developed over the past two
  years:
I will refine my painting
  methods by creating more textured surfaces by adding additional materials -
  either particles or excessive amounts of paint; creating and destroying
  sections of my pieces by adding excessive amounts of paint and scraping it
  off to create “damaged” layers;
- I will further develop my mix
  media techniques by exploring combining fragments of imagery, illustrative
  sections and creative writing with painting.
- I am interested in refining my
  techniques of working over the top of my layers of paint using different mediums,
  such as pastels, ink etc. | ||||

Research (outline
  how all aspects of your contextual research might expand and develop in
  relation to your studio practice content.
  This may be complementary to the final essay outline below)
My contextual research will develop from exploration of translating my
  themes through painting to more specifically the combinations of colour and
  shape/symbols that reflect particular areas of mentality.

Final Essay
  Proposal.  Indicate what the relationship is between the subject
  of your essay and your studio practice.

My essay subject and studio practice relate because of the exploration
  of psychology and the inner world/turmoil of the artist through contemporary
  art processes.  | ||||
