Yesterday's Sandwich book - artist work

Looking at layering! One of my favourite books to just flick through :)

I am interested in the themes of sexuality along side the beautiful and intricate patterns and layering - this idea has got me thinking more about different photography series I want to work on. My work is personal but also I want it to be related to universally. Looking at both experience and consciousness (phenomenology exploration) as well as formulating the idea of a narrative I want to explore using bodies/form when combined with sceneries and the particular things I often include in my work e.g. chains/locks/barred wire - all related to how I view things and the specific images I want to use to affect the audience and create the immersive environment that will draw the viewers into my work.

Also the bottom image I am particularly interested in - the combination of image and writing is something I have always been interested in with my practice. I want to explore this more and more - working either literally on the pieces themselves or including additional writing along side the installations!!! :)
